Makes note to put Tazzy on the shit list.....

Not really of course ๐Ÿ™‚

The actual course has not been finalised yet, and as much as we'd like to make it all cheeky there's land managers, insurance, commissaries etc to satisfy, but we will do our best ๐Ÿ˜‰

Just got wedding anniversary gift from Mrs APF.

Theatre tickets for Sept 29. SSUK has been in the diary for ages too, but I guess I'll be missing it ๐Ÿ™

I'm sure I can make a rudimentary propulsion unit using nothing but a hamster, 3 elastic bands, duct tape and the lid from a felt tip pen.

you'll be fine ton ๐Ÿ˜€

I've heard bugger all and I spent a whole management meeting creating a little work of art. ๐Ÿ™

oh well I'll have to stick with proper racing for the year instead ( at least my liver and kidneys will thank me)

probably best you do. I hear that they've grossly underestimated the turbo/roller space required by you "proper" racers.

NW MTB champs used to go off piste but still get insurance etc. How come SSUK has commissaries to worry about ?

Genuinely interested.

Not sent a postcard in yet.
Will a worn out chainring, chain, cog and unused razor blade do instead?

I turned the lid of a box into a postcard. You can post anything flat and light it it's got a clear address on it and a stamp in the right place.

I wasn't being altogether serious.

I'll see if i can get round to sending something off sometime before the event.
Just like my style of "racing" there's no rush. ๐Ÿ™‚

It's all a bit of a faff isn't it? My entry has been waiting for a stamp for some time -it would be so much easier to email an entry

Before anyone else says it yes I am a miserable so and so blah blah

Peace out!

pop- you miserable bugger, it's not like you'll actually ride anyway, you'll get as far a the beer stop, drink your own (rather substantial) body weight in ale and then wobble to finish when it gets dark or your liver has dissolved. ๐Ÿ˜€

which is far better than Picto will manage,as he'll have a sniff of babycham and be found 6 hours later asleep in a ditch

Taz- I've read your description of my race tactics several times to see where I am going wrong and I can't see it- sounds like the perfect race to me!

Anyone heard anything after entering?

I'm looking forward to my fifth SSUK, even though each year I seem to finish less of the race and not party as much as I did the first year (2005). Maybe thats the key, party harder and race better?
