[#1864456]

Unless I'm missing something very obvious on the site I have no idea where the SSUK base-camp / camp site is.

I will be arriving by train so it'd be helpful to know which station to stop at and where I go from there!?

Can anyone clue me in? - A post code or ikkle map?

Or should I just stop off somewhere in central Wales and listen for the creaking of knees and the smell of funny cheese?

Ta

Not far from Here

I assume the nearest train station would be in Llandovery which is about 6 miles away...

cheers b-man

I guess most people will be arriving Friday evening so if I get into Llandovery and wait until bearded hordes arrive I might be able to follow em

You're not expecting it to be organised are you?

It's a SS thing. Turn up and make it happen.

From the SSUK site
"The 2010 Singlespeed UK Championships is being held at Cwm Rhaeadr, a small but universally acclaimed man-made trail in the scenic Towy Valley."

From elsewhere on t'internet

Campsite/arena will be signed from the road with something like
"nearly there"
"keep going"
"you have arrived"
"turn round you've gone past it"

On the LHS of the road as you approach.

I thought Mountain biking was about the spirit of adventure. I was just planning on driving to Wales and just leaving the rest up to guess work.
I'm sure I will find it at some point. I cannot wait. SSUK is the only event I attend and is the highlight of my year... Dreams!!!

We are leaving "Yorkshire" on monday morning as we are slow and Wales is far far away. Don't need directions we are just going to look for a land with moor sheep than we have up here.
