[#7559534]

I need to book time off work and a search of the interweb is giving me... Hoar Farm, Atherstone, North Warwickshire on 2nd - 4th September.

I know it's early days but can anyone confirm these dates please ?

No, but I did read it somewhere! A google search finds this 😆

The Hoar Park website has nothing (yet) http://www.hoar-park.co.uk/events

FWIW I have already booked the 2nd Sept off work!

Yes that is the dates, they were announced from the organiser of 2016 on the ssuk2015 facebook group.

Been for the past couple of years, and love it, great atmosphere and great fun.

No they are tardy bastards - as is to be expected/ as tradition demands

I expect to be emailed about two weeks before the event - I never check the FB page - seems to be down for me but i am no FB expert

Anyone confirm anything?

Its all sorted, the godiva boys have been so organised its scary, so they are now being a bit slack just to make it look traditionally shonky!

Will be shite compared to 2014 though 😀

it's presented [month] [day] [year] on the web page, just my inner pedant showing, no biggy 🙂

More importantly I've signed up on your site, done a £55 payment via paypal but may have got distracted and not clicked the final confirmation in paypal, the payment isn't showing on my paypal activity so wanted to check whether you have received it, what's the best way? Can I email the address on your profile bernaard or something via facebook?

Still waiting for leave approval (hopefully tomorrow). Boss man seemed confused when I told him the reason why I needed time off, his response... Why would you ride a bike with only one gear ? 🙄

Why does the question "why do you want leave?" get asked? It's your leave, not his.
When he realises how awesome singlespeeder are your leave will be granted 😀

Just to let you know the closing date for registration for SSUK16 will soon be upon us.
As its being hosted by Godiva this year it would be good for a good turnout.
The more the merrier and hopefull more to charity

I sincerely hope that no one turns up expecting a free weekends camping.

If people wish to attend that's fine, but the camping field has cost us so don't expect it to be free camping as we've had to fork out for the field already, amongst loads of other groovy things for you nice(ish) people

Registration should be open from about 3pm

There is a ride on the Friday evening if anyone want to which will hopefully include a pub stop.

Your guide for the ride will be the current WEMBO World SS Endurance Champion - Steve Day

Just found out about this event.
It looks like race starts on Saturday morning but I can't find the schedule. I work Saturdays until 1pm...looks like I'm going to miss it. Bad, very bad news.

I'm hoping for the laidback SS race ethos of one winner and everyone else came 2nd. 😀

Will there be Cider and Pork Scratchings ?

Superb weekend, thanks to all the GT crew for putting on such a great event.

Singing, dancing, eating, drinking beer and riding bikes 😀

Good luck to Postierich and his crew for next year.

Will tomato soup and ninja pork pie be on the menu ? 😉

A few Shonky images from the weekend....
