I am so very nearly there on this.

Three campsites (fields) are in the running: on hill stones throw from pub. On hill a mile from the pub.. and miles from anything next to the harbour (but no campervans). While this is being nailed down, I will crack on with the club side of it.

The name of our club is looking like SSORRTS.. single speed off road reliability trials society. or Friendly association (of) Reliable Trialists (FART). But please feel free to help me on this. the gist is off road single speed reliability trials, if you need an S to make its better... "sportives".

So sometime around xmas/new year... I will let you all know the dates, where (here), how much (not much) and we are on...

That's better,
Charlies Offroad Cycling Kings of Singlespeed.

Not sure if it could be shortened or abbreviated though. Hmm.....

I vote DrP's suggestion.. ๐Ÿ˜†

I'm going to stay at a local hotel Charlie, so dates and location would be most helpful..

Got a campsite, but worried about neighbours and noise, so checking out another option tomorrow.

Once this detail is nailed down, it can all flow.

Thanks charlie, above and beyond considering the hour ๐Ÿ˜‰

The venue is riding distance, and at the the best pub in the world.

There is no way I could miss it! Just need to cancel a family holiday if its the end may ๐Ÿ˜‰

Sweet. Glad the date is sorted, will get the wifey and I booked up as soon as we can. I am building her a singlespeed specifically for this event as she didn't want to be left out!

They're gonna love it anyway!

So is the skatepark in Swanage any good? I might have to bring along my skateboard mad 14 year old son if I want a domestic pass for the bank holiday weekend.

Told the wife last night her reply:

wife: Won't the tandem arrive by then?
Me: Yeah but its got gears
Wife: can't you use one of those springy things and some washers?
Me: ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Not sure how to handle this....

With 'one of those springy things and some washers' obviously. You should be captain and her stoker so you can beat her round.

Glad my wife isn't on STW; I've had to build her a ss for this event as it is but if she saw the post above....
