I considering SS'ing my handjob and just wondering what size rear cog to put on.
I'm going to be running a 32t front ring, so it's either 16 or 18 out back.
The bike will be used for riding place like Delamere and the local woods/, nothing major, just thought I'd give it ago
I use 18 but i ride in the Lakes, i would say start with 18 if its your first time SS and see how you go, can always stick a 16 on later.
I run a 32:16, but live on the edge of sherwood pines, so not exactly the most difficult of terrain.
32:18 should be good, but you'll obviously spin out even sooner decending.
Not bothered about the spinning out bit, just wanna get up hills 😆

Steve 32:18 is fine for Delamere as its short sharp stuff so the ability to accelerate quickly is best.
