I use to swear by Sram chains but my last one PC991 snapped twice in different places and not at the joining link ๐Ÿ™
Whats a Shimano equivalent XT?

Always use HG93....which is XT....and a SRAM Powerlink. No problems.

IME pc991 chains are made of cheese , I had snappage problems with the last 2 I bought , I've switched to pc 951's now they do the job just as well.Maybe I ought to stop mashing big gears?

KMC here too - too many Shimano chains snapped on mates' bikes and SRAM is costly in here (KMC is free for me ๐Ÿ™‚ ).
