My Sram 2 speed X0 front shifter (10 speed group) was playing up, so I took it apart to fix it (yes...) and although I'm fairly confident on the re-assembly, there is one small piece that fell out before I had a chance to see how it was installed.
It's a very small gauge wire spring, almost a semi circle with 2 straight pieces on each end. If anyone has taken this shifter apart before they'll know which part it is. There's a small groove in the body of the shifter that I think it fits onto, but I don't know it's function and where the other end should fit.
Any help appreciated!
Not sure if this is relevant or not ?

Well worth the bookmark
discjockey- that's great, I hadn't found that on my google quest. that's a RH lever but the principal is the same, and it shows the 'bow spring'.
mikewsmith - Very useful as well but unfortunately doesn't 'explode' as much as I need!
Cheers chaps, think I've got it working again.
