Right, due to thumb injury I'm trying twisties.

How do you set them up? Had my first ride yesterday and I'm still trying to get them set up right.

So far I cut the grips to make them the same length as a standard grip. Wondering if more grip so I can have my hands on "normal" grip when I'm not changing. Also did you move your brakes in?

Most of the above is just down to personal preference

For me I use a 3/4 length grip and run my levers as close as i can to my normal position

Cheers, I used some old grips first before I commit to the new ones.

I'd agree with 3/4 grips too, short grips place your hand on the shifters all the time which I don't like, a full grip and they're too far away.

the 90mm ones?
http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=10473
I know they exist but didn't really answer the question. Had some more hands on playing about with some others riding them and I reckon as I have big hands needs to be slightly bigger (which may mean wider bars 🙂 ) As it's a bit of an experiment I was just cutting down old grips to see. Not even sure I'll stay with the gripshift but see how it goes. It's only cost about £20 to try so not going to bother buying new grips yet.
