[#5798093]

Can anyone tell me do I need a crank puller to remove the above cranks.

I'm replacing the cranks so not too fussed about damaging them can they be removed without a puller?

thanks

If they're like the other SRAM cranks I've played with you should be able to take the non-drive side arm with an 8mm Allen (don't quote me on that) then you should just be able to take the drive side arm out.

mines got a 10mm Allen on the drive side as per this pic

But there's also a cover with 4 holes which stops the 10mm bolt coming out....I've tried but can't for the life of me remove it.

Am I right in thinking once I remove the 10mm bolt drive side it's pretty straight forward to remove the non - drive side ?

thanks

That cover is what the 10mm allen backs up against to remove it! You won't get the cranks off without it.

The non-drive shouldn't really seperate from the BB spindle. If you just mean to remove the LH arm and BB then yeah, it'll just slide out.

Ahh thanks very much ....I see what you mean now that backs up against the cover to push the arm off. The non drive came out pretty easy.

Thanks again guys
