CK Blue is very different, different jockey wheels. The red looks a bit tatty too, why not take the mech apart and get it all anodised red.

Riding a bike doesn't scratch the mech. I ride my bike more than most, still like to keep it looking nice. Why bother to get it powdercoated when the other (more obvious) half looks a bit crap was my point!

Or just look at the weather report for a fewdays to plan a 2hr trip pending wind,rain,temp,moisture,pollen count...?
I have spent loads of hard earned cash (LIKE yourself}as ive only seen 2 of your bikes & spec is...well...............high but never looks worn or used..Fair play to you for buying exspensive stuff it does do the job & pay for itself sometimes but you have to use it ..

I have always looked after my bikes & like yourself again TARTED them up in bling what i can afford but theres only so far you can go.

That Carbon bike a show bike as you'll never blast about on that when the weathers nasty so why bother !

I am lucky enough to be sponsored by a shop, I get bikes heavily subsidised (no way in hell would I be able to afford the sort of bike I do otherwise!). I use it for a season, then sell it and buy a new one, self perpetuating, it only makes sense!

To be fair to the OP for a DIY job from out of the spares box that mech doesn't look half bad. Mind, it doesn't look half good either.

Hi Karin, they were out in mid to late 90s i think, you can get the anodised ones at the moment tho i think. Try Ed @ marshalls stevenage if your still in the area.

The 'redwin' X.0 mechs are still current, along with green, orange, pink and the stock black. The jockey wheels in that one are KCNC by the looks of it, and the white powdercoated cage is 'custom'.

They introduced the colours for 2010, there's nothing different about the mech, just the colours.
