Got a x7 mech (08/09 model).
Will the x9 (similar age) jockey wheels fit, or are they different sizes?

yep, but may have a source of part used X9 ones and I don't like things to go to waste...

How about getting rid of that stupid bushing on the upper jockey wheel by using BBB ones instead?
