you need to make sure the holes are the correct distance apart and the correct size, there are different SRAM configurations for jockey wheels.
The x4 ones are terrible and seize up at the slightest hint of water and dirt. You'd be better with an x4 derraileur with x9 Jockey eheels
X9 also seize up at the first hint of water or dirt as well so not really worth the extra.
Thanks for the replies. Kind of thinking the same way as Teifiterror, the jockeys on SRAM do seem to need a fair bit of TLC so if the X4s fit then why pay the extra?
Will probably get both to see if the X4s fit: if they do, will see how they go and if reasonable stick with them in future!
I have just bodged a Shimano bottom jockey onto the bottom of my X9.
Intending to get something more appropriate but these things sometimes become permanent.
The original had a poor ball race in and the cage had broken up. I would have looked after it better if I had known its construction but I thought it was just that multi-holed spigot like X7.
Can't beat a good bodge! ๐
Get some BBB cartridge bearing jockeys from Dotbike.com and forget those awful standard fit pieces of poo.
