[#12976479]

no idea how it happened but out yesterday I managed to pop the upper shift trigger button out of the shifter housing. It stayed attached via the little metal spring mechanism but obviously wouldnt shift.

back home there was no obvious broken plastic or parts missing so i took the cover off and levered it all back in place.

shifts fine and would never know anything had happened.

as simple as that?  Or is there something special i could have missed that means I’ll die instantly at first shift change on the trail?!

tis a 12sp GX single click shifter.

It's hard to know. AFAIK one of the differences between GX and XO is that XO shifters are serviceable and GX ones are not?

Thats my dilemma.  Sods law says buy a new shifter and I needn’t have. Dont buy one and it’ll die at the furthest point from home next ride!
