My son got some new codes fitted to his bike , so the bike shop removed his guides but obviously being internal cables had to split the cable from the lever to do so. Im planning either using the brakes or at least re connecting them giving them a bleed then selling them.
Im just unsure what Barb and olive I need as Ive seen ones for the old Juicys but not guides.
Any help would be appreciated.

Stealth-a-majig. It’s a real thing. They’re expensive (£5 each or something) but once you’ve used them, you’ll wish all brakes had them.

I may have missed something... If they've just removed the hose you won't need a new olive, unless you're shortening the hose. Just bleed them.

SRAM / Avid push in barb and olive, screw in barb and olive, stealthamajig - they'll all work. Push ins are a pain but I wouldn't pay a premium for stealthamajig over screw in, though I do have a bag full as I got them cheap.

Any links to suitable things? I'm still trying to find the individual parts for a hose to be connected to a caliper - have hose and caliper, just need the bits to connect them (2018 Guides).

Even today most places still seem to list them as Avid. Avid Stealthamijig (or whatever they are called) will work just fine.

Dont some Guides (usually the one deemed as being for the rear brake) say "stealthamajig only" round the end of the lever by the hose exit??

If you are selling them, I wouldn't bother to bleed as the new owner will possibly have to re-thread them.
