Rear lever on my Guide Ultimate brakes has been increasingly squishy now for getting a year and time to try and fix it!
- brakes repeatedly bled, both full bleed and only bleeding the master cylinder
- no apparently leaks anywhere
- brake does feel better/firmer for several pumps
What next?
Try excercising the caliper pistons, preferably with a good clean and light silicone lube thrown in, it can make a huge difference to lever feel.
Maybe fit new pistons and seals. The downside of modern plastic pistons is they tend to get worn arround the 50% pad level. And once there's ridge the seals stick in it and it just gets worse.
SRAM piston kits are only about £16 so it's a cheap thing to try.
I had this issue with mine. I had to replace the piston inside the lever as it became very sticky and eventually didn't return. It was a bit fiddly to do but fixed it completely.
You can get the kit online. Search for "sram guide lever service kit" or something and then get the one that fits yours.
