I have bought some SRAM Eagle NX 12 speed parts.
The SRAM user manual details how to install the rear mech with and without the chain gap adjustment tool. Accepting that the tool is not essential and there is an alternative if I did want to get the tool does anyone know where it is available? Most of the versions for sale are the 11s type (hold next to mech) but the 12s version in this video appears different (clip onto cassette).
I'm installing on someone elses bike that I won't have much access to after installation so keen to get it right first time.

Measure the gap
The gap is 15mm IIRC, just do it by eye or with a ruller, you can tell when it's wrong when riding as the chain falls off even more than normal or it won't shift into the bottom gear.
The 'old version' is for 12spd eagle with 50t cassette.
