[Closed] sram centerline smaller contact area than shimano rotors?

perverse I know, but I have centerline 160mm rotors with shimano calipers

braking performance has been ok but a little bit grindy at slower speeds

looking at the wear on the rotor today, they are coming 2-3mm down the arm, in pictures of them properly set up with sram calipers the wear is more where you would expect and not visible on the arms

do you think the contact area is smaller / shimano pads bigger than sram pads? or just my caliper needs spacing out by about 2mm?

in my quest to eliminate grinding my options are to put some washers under the calipers, or go with XT rotors
