Got a new gravel bike with GRX which is ok but having run AXS on my MTB for a few years that would be ideal obviously!

despite being fairly new looks like Merlin have the shifters/brakes for 50% off... listed as 2x but should make no difference for 1x? Then would just need a XPLR PG cassette which I think is compatible with the Shimano freehub and an Eagle or XPLR AXS mech as the internet tells me my 11 speed GRX crank (have a chain guide) should be compatible (with 2mm spacer for optimal chainline)? And a new chain obviously! Will this work 🤔

I'd be emailing Merlin and asking about the recall before purchasing if I were you....

“All 12-speed SRAM eTap AXS RED, Force, Rival, and Apex shift-brake levers which were not installed by a bicycle dealer on a new bicycle are involved in this recall,” the company wrote. “If your levers were on a complete new bicycle purchased at or installed by a bicycle dealer, no action is required.”

That basically amounts to " make sure your brake is done up properly"

Yeah doesn’t sound like anything to worry about, as long as you’re aware of it!

no, there is no difference, you press both shifters at the same time to shift the front mech, obviously nothing happens if they are not connected
