Got a Tricross Singlecross recently for commuting and whilst it's generally great the V-brake (Tektro) on the front is driving me nuts with its squealing. Tried everything I can think of in the way of toeing the brake blocks in, and even put new blocks in, but no joy.
It annoys me so much that I'm basically just using the back brake at the mo (which is quiet as a mouse). Please help!

Clean the rims well + try some new pads (or sand down the surface a bit on the current set). You shouldn't really need to toe in a v brake to stop them squealing.
