disk or rim?

check:
calliper alignment(disc)/pad angle (rim - slight toe-in preferable)
oil on rim/contamination on disc?

for rim brakes I like BBB. cheap n cheerful and rim-friendly

I had really squeaky disk brakes recently. Rubbed the rotor down with clean rag and methylated spirits. No more noise.

Wipe the rotor with methanol on a clean paper towel. If you suspect oil on the brake pads, take them out and spray them with brake or carb and choke cleaner.

If your caliper seals are leaking fluid which is contaminating the pads, they'll need to be rebuilt with new seals or replaced.

Are you using sintered pads?
I had squeaky brakes and tried everything to stop it. Eventually changed pads and put resin pads on, silent brakes now, peace at last!
