The lever of my front, SLX brake has started squeaking when applied and I'm pretty sure that it's happening where the lever fits into the main body of the brake. I'm assuming that there's nothing in there that'll be damaged by a squirt of GT85 but (as it's brakes) I thought I'd check first.

i get the same occasionally on hope mono minis, im sure the correct fix involves a full strip down and reassemble with a new pivot, lightly greased.... but a drop of oil suffices.
i avoid squirting wherever possible, there always seems to be a correlation between gt85/wd40 use and contaminated brake pads/rotors
