Let me know once you've tried Ruperts... or Fred. I agree it's quite the location.

I live in squamish at the end of roller coaster.
Yes, I feel lucky every single time I ride my bike!
Half Nelson however is pretty low on my list of trail choices but an absolute favourite of most visiting riders.

Yep love Squamish. Passed through it in BC Bike Race and seemed to do rather a lot of trails whilst there.

It's nice, but it's no Stockport.

Mrs_OAB and I pitched up at the hostel in Squamish with two rucksacks about 19 years ago.
Within an hour the hostel owner had phoned round friends and has us a load of borrowed climbing kit and a lift to the bottom of the crag with pals. Spent that afternoon cragging and next morning on the apron of the Chief.
The next day they leant us road bike to pedal to Bridal Veil falls and then we walked up the Chief - and spent the afternoon bemoaning no mountain bikes.
The hostel had us invited for evening meal/BBQ for the three nights we were there.
Canadian hospitality in an absolutely stunning spot. Much better than toy town Whistler IMO.

Looks great, wish I had had time to mtb in Squamish while I was there. Whistler was awesome, but I really loved the trails in Cumberland, Vancouver Island. Such a good trail network there.

Went two years running during my visits to see my lad. Fantastic place, and the locals love that Brits have come to visit so go out of their way to show you round!

I went there last year. Hired a bike in the town, rode it to the trailhead of Half Nelson, got about 500m down and crashed destroying my knee cap in the process. Other than that, it was great! What I saw of it was beautiful.

My lottery place! Stayed s few days at Alice lake. Rode, walked, swam. Tantalus bikes is the most helpful shop I've ever been in!

If you liked angry midget and like to add some black tech then ride Man Boobs, Rupert's, credit line. You can hit all 3 in 1 ride then the covenant/trestle trail back down to the highlands estates.

Also legacy climb to Lower angry midget another mans gold, power hoods to somewhere over there.

If you like to work hard for your descents, Legacy to 400, to top of pseudo, over to skookum, imbalance/power, Fred's, tinder (meh) then your mom or yer sister if you're tech brave.

Plenty more days in the bag all just as good in very different ways.

I found a trail when out for a walk (towards the mast/electrical thing at the top) on the right hand side. It was the steepest trail I have ever seen. I wouldn't even go down it on my bum!

Still gutted I never managed to ride any squamish trails during my summer at Whistler. Just didn't have the money to get down there and pay for some guided riding. It does look awesome.
