Was out with some friends on Sunday morning and kept bumping into a group out for a ride which contained the widest cross section of bikes I have ever seen! There was a cross bike with flat bars, a rigid single speed, a couple of the usual 150mm ish FS machines and then a fat bike!

All seemed to be hacking along at a similar pace..

I was there on Saturday on the Fatty, and ended up following a group with a cross bike round. It was quite wierd that two bikes so far apart were fairly evenly matched on pace.

Having said that a guy came past on a Trance/Anthem-SX and dissapered into the distance so I'm pretty sure the Fatty and CX bikes were both 'slower' just off different ends of the normal distribution curve.

I should get comission from On-One the number of "What's it like, can I have a go?" it gets!
