[#3354149]

Looking for tyres for my MTB bike but looking for commuting ones...
I ride mostly along the River Lee tow paths,as well a road so you hopefully understand the quality of the paths is varid and dependant on weather.

Question is which tyre out of these, they all look the same pretty much and have no idea the pros or cons of them.

Was going to get these:
http://www.merlincycles.co.uk/Bike+Shop/Tyres++Tubes/Tyres++Tubes+MTB/Schwalbe+Tyres/Schwalbe+Marathon+Plus+Smartguard+Rigid+26_S-MP-MTB.htm

But then somone posted these ones...
http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/TYSCMARPPW/schwalbe_marathon_plus_performance_wired_tyre

http://www.on-one.co.uk/i/q/TYSCMARA/schwalbe_marathon_kevlarguard_snakeskin_tyre_wire_bead

All the same it seems, what are the pros/cons of them, As i said was going to get the Ridgids but after seeing the other two i have no idea which ones to get for my commute.

The first two links are the same tyre, the third link is for an older version which is less protected, but lighter.

I've used these before to good effect on a combination of road/tow path:

although the ones I have used were an older design...

Get the armadillo ones for added puncture protection.

you 100% sure about that, the descriptions dont seem to back that up

Merlin one is a ridgid marathon plus smartguard, the other one is a Plus Performance Wired Tyre...so dont think that is correct in what you said.

can somone else please advise on these, as i looking to get on of the three, but atm unsure which given the differences
