hi guys.have a slight problem with my shimano m575 front brake.its as soft as a marshmallow.ive had it at the lbs twice to bed looked at,they bled it first time but told me they didnt have it long enough(hour n a half)but the lever was touching the grip when i pulled on brakes.then it was in again for 2 days and was bled again and hung but its still the same.dont see any leaks but its doin me heid in.any one any ideas as to what it might be,i was hoping it would be mega firm after being done but aint happened.cheers H.
Can't be anything wrong with it - everyone tells you shimano don't go wrong.
In all seriousness spongy lever = air in the system. Cure = bleeding it.
Either take it back to the LBS and get them to do it properly or try another LBS who can do it properly.

Get back to the bike shop, if they are saying its fine, ask the mechanic if he'd rid the bike with the front brake like that?
You've paid them to fix something, which they have clearly failed to do.
cheers guys.think i might try somewhere differant as having been in the same place twice and still spongey im not sure they are upto the task.i live in glasgow, anyone know any good lbs to take it to?ive heard theres a shop in scotstoun who claim to have shimano engineers so might try there or shop in west end called gears.on the last shop i had it in twice but only paid once(15quid),bit reluctant to them any more of my cash.they were saying that the diaphram or something might be gubbed.the brake does stop you but id prefer not to be pulling the lever all the way to the grip.cheers again guys H
