just a couple of bits of news from Stoke.
The council has bid on some government cash for new cycle lanes, made front page news no less:

Typical stupid comments underneath, they don't seem to grasp that it's not the council's money the council is spending.
Also, I was out along the canal the other night and the hard path upgrades twixt Barlaston and Stone are pretty much complete and it's riding really fast.

Actually, yes it is council money that is going into the project, £2.2million according to the article.
