[#7010288]

I'm building a new wheelset.

I've measured rims and hubs and used DT spoke calc.

I'd like to buy DT Comps from Rose, but they don't list 259's.

Rounded lengths are FRONT - L 259 R 260 and REAR - L 260 R 259.

Accurate lengths: FRONT - L 258.6 R 260.3 and REAR L 260.0 R 258.9

All assume 12mm nipples.

So, what does anyone recommend? All 260s, 258 and 260, fudge it with longer nipples or just buy elsewhere? In general I'd prefer a slightly short spoke to a slightly long one but rounding x.9 down sounds a bit daft...

Thanks! ๐Ÿ™‚

260s all round, you'll be fine.

258 all round for me - shorter spokes are preferable than longer IME as there are plenty of spare threads in nipples.

I'd go half 260, half 258. Not going to be the end of the world either way. 0.9mm isn't that much. I'd be less sure about rounding up by 1.4mm

258s are lighter than 260s ๐Ÿ˜†

Typical spoke elongation from tensioning is 0.685mm (ref the Bicycle Wheel, Jobst Brandt).

I always round down.
