Help
I'm sure that I saw something on here back in the days of STW1, possibly by Ben at Kinetics, that allowed gear cables to be split so that a bike could be fitted with a S&S Coupling
Does anyone know anything about them? I'm thinking that they could be useful for running a height adjustable post with a remote.
what does it do?
An S&S coupling allows a bike frame to be split in half for transport. The fittings I'm thinking of allowed the gear (and brake) cables to be split and reattached.
I'm worried that I may have imaganied them now.
how would that help for gravity droppers et al tho?
is this what you mean
ah for removing seatpost and not remote?
how would the brakes not need constant bleeding stu?
It's a self sealing connector.
Pretty standard stuff on a lot of hydrolic machinery.

Thanks - That's what I was thinking of. I saw the break hoses £275.00!
racing_ralph Yes; It would mean that you could remove the seat post for cleaning and transport.
Looks like it's non-starter as both those couplings look like they need cable stops and exposed cables to work.

What an extremely odd forum name. Care to explain? Intrigued...
Fred google xkcd sqj injection
good lord... computer nerds have invaded singletrack cyberspace 😀
and I suspect you meant sql injection non?
I don't know, no, I can't sorry.
I have no idea what all that stuff means. My mate does all that, I just make the pretty pictures and stuff.
I learned how to do Swap Image Restore the other day. I was sooo excited!
My mate din't think it was a big deal. 🙁
