I know you should get more from splitting a bike, but is it worth the hassle ? how much extra can i expect from selling in bits ?
Anybody got any advice to share ?

you'll get about the same money but splitting will also leave you knackered and with a large box of spare bits

I've made prob 25% extra from splitting than I would have done from selling as a whole bike.......... more hassle yeh but more dosh.

Yep..... people don't tend to what all the componants on a full build, you get hassled to split anyway as people see bits they want.
It's the little bits, the low value bits, that make up the extra, the things you forgetwhen looking at a whole bike.....
Dunno, thats just my experience 😕
