Unnecessarily complicated cleat and doomed to jam up in the British slop?

Gutted.
Love my speedplay road pedals, been waiting for the MTB ones for ages.
I didn't even get past the price to look at the cleats.....£200 for the basic model!!

They just remind me of a standard shimano SPD pedla with overly complex cleat which will just clog up and / or seize at the first sign of filth.

Bumpity bump.
iRide press release today; £200 a set, and £55 for a spare set of cleats. Maybe they're not [b]that[/b] much better than my ATACs then...
