Why not stick with MTB pedals and get some carbon soled shoes??? Works for me ๐
I assume you mean for a road bike? I use Speedplay Zero's and really rate them. Took a while to get use to clipping in (straight down as opposed to sliding forward), but really rate them. Super light, nice float. Not great for walking in as you're walking on the metal plates of the cleat, so can be lethal on some floor surfaces.
Yeh sorry for the road
Neil - I got a nice pair of road shoes - the times I got wern't expensive (4 years ago) its the clipping in that annoying me ๐ I use the MTB pedals you gave me for work as they are easier to walk in up slippery stairs but I dont like doing 2 + hours in them - I think buing a pair of carbon shoes may defeats the purpose ๐
Hmm - prob ok for tarmac though Doof - won't be inside with thm ๐
Just bought some speedplays second hand.
Yet to try them, look cool.
Got me some SPD Sandals for my commute..
As the bit on the bottom of the shoe is the mechanism walking in them does damage them. This time round I also bought a pair of "cafe covers" which is massively increasing the lifespan and makes them much safer to walk in on all surfaces.
I have two pairs one on each of my road bikes. One of the single best things I ever bought for the bike. Love the whole system. Cleats last ages, clipping in is a total no-brainer, non of that trying to flip the pedal over to clip in like on look systems, it work a treat, weird feeling of free foot movement when you first use them, but then you get used to it. Pain in the backside to walk in !
Got some - cheers - spent my tax rebate ๐ [s]Where did you get the "cafe covers" from Lu?[/s] Got some from Wiggle - cheers ๐

People do tend to laugh at you as you dance on one leg to put them on but if it brightens their day...
Thanks Lu - ๐
