Hub on my Levo is making strange noises so I had a took a look inside itย & looks no more difficult that any other to change the bearings, but it has a locking nut inside the outside face of the freehub, where the bearings would need to be pushed out of. Annoyingly I put it back together without taking a photo but imagine a multi sided (10+) Hex/allen key that 15mm wide. Anyone got any idea what I'd use to undo this? As my google-fu has failed miserably
Spesch describe the hub as:ย Alloy, sealed cartridge bearings
hmmm not sure if being daft about this, may be the cassette tool might undo this? With an opposite thread?
What model of Levo?
A lot of Specialized hubs are rebranded DT Swiss, and they've had problems with the lock rings seizing.
I believe it's a proprietary tool to get them out.
A 2022 Levo Comp,
I am thinking of dumping it back to the shop, but it's only this nut, that's stopping me from doing the bearing myself
I'm thinking this is the hub:

Knowing how often freehub pawls die, and potentially wreck the hub I'd just purchase a new freehub body and keep the old pawls for spares. I don't know the retail pricing in the UK but they are pretty cheap in Canada.ย
^^^^ Yes that looks more like it, than any other search result I've found!
Properly shows the locking ring extending out of the front. Cheers, can try and find info on it now...
