I am thinking of getting some specialized tyres, does anyone know the difference between the control and the s-works? Lbs are selling them both for the same price and the staff and the specialized website don't seem to have that info. Thanks.

S-Works are lighter but have thinner sidewalls prone to tears/pinch flats. Most will recommend Controls over S-Works.

I have run S-works The capatain Tyres on my 29er and been very happy with them. Lighter than most as well and good grip. No problems with weak sidewalls so far after 1000miles and i'm 16st+.

Thanks all. I picked up the controls today, I'd sooner go a bit slower than have to stop for a pinch flat in this weather.
