Hope someone here can help!
I've just bought an ex display Specialized Rip Rock for my soon to be 3 year old. Only problem is it didn't come with pedals.
Looking at it there are two plastic round bits where the pedals mount that do not have an internal thread. Does anyone know if these are just packaging protection? They seem pretty firm in there! I don't want to damage them by taking them out if there's some odd pedal mounting system!

Looks just like normal pedals on ours. No inserts when the pedals are in.
That's just a packaging insert.
