Yeah, dead easy. Really good tyres btw, my favourite rear tyre. Just OK on the front, could do with being stickier tbh.

My spesh storm control 2bliss on XT rims are a breeze, even with track pump. Mud x's a whole different story ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

fantastic tires for aggressive riding in loose / muddy conditions

no problems inflating on Stans rims, will inflate even with a cr*p track pump!

all the tech of Cheng Shing (Maxxis - they make Specialized tires BTW...) without the high RRP, and a much better tubeless-ready liner without the weight penalty

would not recommend using the Eskar on the front if you value your teeth...speak from experience and that of several riding friends

would recommend the Specialized Purgatory or Captain 2.2 as a much more suitable front wheel companion for the Eskar on the rear

if you ride a lot of fireroad or harder packed trails (or just drier conditions), would recommend the Captain or new Ground Control as better alternatives to the Eskar, on the rear!

"to replace a 60a High roller on the rear "
What will you have up front?
for eg 2.35" HR up front with a 2.3" Eskar on the back will tip the bike forward a bit as eskars are noticably bigger

Been running Eskars tubeless on Mavic 321s, went up really easily and they are really grippy.

Got them on several wheels fitted them tubeless to 721s, 729s and Rhyno lites, worked great on all of them.

Not sure what planet a Captain makes a better front tire on but each to their own.

Eskars make a very good HR stand in arguably better in some ways...

POSTED 2 HOURS AGO # REPORT-POST

Gonna put an eskar on the front, too is that a bad idea?

Depends what you want it to do, really... I got on OK with the Eskar at the front for XC and most trail centre stuff but it's a bit abrupt when it slides and it lacks outright grip for harder use. Had quite a hairy time on Laggan black in the rain... But it's still competent enough, just not great. Feels just a little too hard.
