I am trying to set front mech up on a 2011 S works epic, it's a SRAM XO 3x10 and the chainset is shimano XT. The problem is I can't get the granny ring as the mech won't go in far enough even with the limit screws at max. Do I just need to put a spacer on the bottom bracket to bring it out about 3 mm which I think it is all it will need or am I missing something else.

Undo the cable and see if it go's down enough then, fiddle with the limit screw while the cables undone and check the plastic sleeve thingy under the bb shell isn't fouling the cable clamp as well

Tried that but was in a rush as I has to go to work so will have a calmer go at it tonight.
