[#4256430]

Just picked up a camber frame on the cheap to build up, but need a headset for it.

It's an 1 1/8" integrated jobbie, campy style bearings/cups?

Not sure on what I need so any suggestions/advice would be great so I can order one tomorrow.

If the STW hive mind can't help, I'll try the local Spesh dealer, who weren't much help earlier when asking for advice.

Thanks,

Andy

I had this the other day - you've ordered a frame from Bikescene haven't you?

Hope do an integrated - they also do an integral, so be careful of the confusion. This is what the good people at the Specialized Concept Store in Covent Garden have on order for me.

Don't forget you'll also need an E-Type front mech too.

Sweet, thanks!

Yup, got a camber frame from bikescene. Just getting parts ready for when it arrives.

got an e-type mech in spares box but think I'll go 1x10 on it.

You pleased with yours?

Did it come with seat clamp and chainstay protector?

I'm sort of pleased with mine - but it doesn't arrive until Wednesday! I'm retiring my 2004 Enduro frame and will swap all of the bits over, so I've got clamps, forks, wheels etc. I did ask Bikescene if they came with a chainstay protector and was told that they didn't, but they're only a tenner from Spesh so it's not an issue here.

Keep me posted, what size did you go for in the end? Ideally I want to replicate the riding position and geometry of the Enduro in a slightly lighter package.

Mine doesn't arrive until wednesday either!

Went for a medium. On the cusp of a medium and a large, but the medium felt a bit more chuckable! Felt very similar to my old 2004 enduro sx (only bike I never wish I'd sold!!)

No worries about the chainstay protector, I'll grab one in the week (off work for a week so plenty of time to pick up bits!)

Was a last minute buy - on a whim!! I've got a mate who's got one and loves it, so hopefully it'll tick the boxes.

Aiming for a 26lb ish build with 1x10 and a reverb, so a good all day play bike!
