[Closed] Specialized Brain Shock Probs

I own a 2008 Stumpy FSR Expert and have just bought a new 2007 Stumpy FSR Carbon Pro. They both have the Specialized AFR Brain and not the Fox Triad.

The blue Brain Fade inertia valve on the 2008 model turns in both directions and then stops after a number of clicks.

On my 2007 model whichever way you turn the inertia valve, it just keeps on turning and turning and turning.

Is this normal? If so, how do I know where the softest and firmest settings are?

I've read a couple of threads on here mentioning inertias valves that seized on earlier Epics and one that said that you had to turn the blue top about 20 revolutions but I've been turning for a good few minutes now and can't get to either fully on or fully off.
