I have been using these for 2 years on my road bikes as my knees are ok when I use them but I see they have been recalled due to some breaking. I run XT spd trail pedals and I wondered if any one knows of another 20 mm extend made by some one else or are any pedal made which are wider.

The only pedal I know of is the Crank Bros Mallet DH (the top one) that runs 5mm further out than normal

You don't have to take them back, just be aware of what could happen.

Speedplay do several longer spindle lengths, not sure where you buy them from probably have to order them from a dealer.
