Looking at a spec camber comp carbon 29 for my better half as an insurance replacement.
any thoughts on this machine, reviews seem good, but often take these with a pinch of back hander salt...
Ta
i've had a play on an aluminium camber 29er.
it. was. bloody. brilliant.
it felt light, and very 'neutral' - i've become used to heavy/slack bikes recently. and the camber felt touch 'sharper'.
but i can't afford one at the moment, and that makes me sad ๐
Tried one around whinlatter - fantastic bike. Not just "fantastic for the price" or "fantastic for a spesh" but a genuinely brilliant bike to ride.
Felt in it not on it and like I had all the grip on the world. The people with me said I was flying on it but it was so easy to ride.
If I wasn't currently building a custom ti frame I'd have one tomorrow.
(ridden a few 29ers so it's not just the wheelsize)
I've had our demo one out, it's bloody ace. Can't wait to ride it again. Definitely recommended.
It looks the nuts, and my friend, who is a serial swapper, thinks his is great.
