Has anyone used these?

Was thinking about getting some DMR Versa or the new Look Geo Trekking double sided pedals which both seem to have a useable flat side as well as the SPD side, but this seems a much easier option, and can be taken off too easily.

A bit of a step up from the plastic ones that come with the M540's too

Hah! Happened across them on eBay a while back and wondered what they were as I didn't really read the description.

Now I know.

No help I'm afraid though but have a free bump.

I say this on every thread about double sided.

Its awful you'll never get the right side when you need it.

The platform on the XT trekking pedals is quite good.

not seen those look worth a try...just bought a random bit off metal of ebay to put two bidon holders on one mount...nothing high tech but not something people shout about...used the shimano plastic ones for quite a while no idea why totally useless in the wet or mud...use XT trekking pedals on a gravel touring bike that sometimes ends up on singletrack and they are excellent for intended purpose but a bit butch as in thick and wide...but might be my lack of finesse...Shimano A520 pedals always rotate to the spd clip in and are a bit better shape but other than a sober pedal to the shops in the sun the flats are more slippy than slippy slippy

Could be a usefull thing to have in the shed when you just need to get to work and the commuter has a puncture. Quite expensive once you add a set of cleats though. And would have been usefull if they had reflectors.

They'd actually work for me on thr road bike as I ride it into work a couple of times a week for lunchtime rides, it's only 2 miles and putting the disco slippers on is morr faff than just putting them in the kit bag.

I had some - great to use (I put them on both side for Uni campus commuting on my old CX bike - but single sided would be fine if you get the flip it the right way round technique right) Only issue was with the high level of tension I run my pedals at (max possible) they are near impossible to remove with tools let alone bare handed!

Well I've decided to have a go. They will only be on to allow me to ride to work/pub without "disco slippers" as if I am intending a decent length ride where I might want flats, I will change the pedals.

As @oliverracing said, near impossible to get off easily.
Quicker to change pedals if you do it very often.

I did consider 3d printing a removal tool and probably will if I even need to use them again.

Can you just get 2x sets and clip them in both sides at once, then you won't have the wrong side problem.

Does no one else jump on their spd bikes in non spd shoes?

Has the world gone mad?

"bidon"

Yes. Yes, it has.
