I have a wheelset from a spesh stumpjumper pro (o8 or 09) with dt swiss 280s custom hub for specialized (rear). I have now broken the round bit that sits next to the drop out (some if is missing). I hope this makes sense as I do not have a pic at the moment. It is the round bit on the hub that looks the same as the bit on the skewer (ribbed to make the wheel lock in).... lol, i bet you guys love it when a girl posts!
Anyway, where can I get some spares? I have tried LBS but no luck (as they cannot agree on what spares to order as it is not a standard dt swiss hub). I really would like to get this fixed though, as i really like the wheels. Although the fact that a girl broke them does not really say much for their quality...
Thanks Simone
Any shop that deals with the distributor "Madison" can help. That's pretty much every shop under the sun as they distribute Shimano, Park, Giro and DT. It will be a standard DT part. There are two basic hub designs by DT, referred to as "Onyx" and "Hugi". The more basic of the two is the Onyx and it's what most OEM hubs are. It should be either part "1" or "11" on page 6 here DT Swiss 350. Your LBS of choice should be able to confirm at a glance... ๐
thanks! Will go down there now!
just noticed the 350 is not a disc hub, presume they part i need is the same on both? ...
It is actually more likely to be a 370 hub. This is the old Onyx renamed and was used as an OE hub quite a lot.
Is your hub 6 bolt or centrelock? Is it the disc or cassette side you need?
