I recently fitted some gore low friction cables to my bike while giving it a full service , which included letting all the air out of the shock as a result of my own stupidity i cut the rear mech cable to short so when the suspesion is set up it pulls it tight on the rocker etc.
So does anyone have any spare gore cable left over need a min of 35cm long they want a few quid for
Or can you buy it from gore/ bikeshop/ use standard shimano cable i want to keep the cost down though the cable set was about £35 quid to begin with
Thanks
If you mean the outer, wiggle do 2m for a fiver
Sounds like you'll need outer, liner and inner then? The inner is coated so I don't think 'normal inner' will run smoothly through the liner. Sounds like you'll need a whole new kit sorry? I'm happy to stand corrected?
Do you need cable or outers?
Looks like both , i didnt even think about the inner, this goes from bad to worse. dont think there is enough inner , maybe just get away with the outer , wont know till i try.
Its bggered isnt it, i need to get a new set...
Worth writing to Gore? I did so when I messed up installing a sealed system. They sent a new liner within a week - good service (though not convinced they are worth the money...)
I might have some spare inner and outer but i have no spare cable.
Silly boy!
Got some spare housing (white) and inner liner but no spare cables. Normal cables will work but won't be very slick.
Got a complete single cable set you're welcome to, used the originals for years but found the latest ones are a bit crap and don't want the hassle involved in changing it on my 5.
