Does anyone know where and if I can buy a second battery for my R4 light
In particular I wanted a 4 cell with the energy status on it.

Any hope dealer can get you one. They do them as spares. HLBA005 is the part number you need.

Is it a 7.4v battery? Most magi shine lights are the same voltage but they have really poor burn times compared to what they were stated to have, like most eBay items, never quite as discribed.
I'm sure smudge from mob batteries will be along shortly. He could make one.

I think hope use a slightly different connector than the other companies, though you can get an adaptor from maplin.
