[#10017842]

So after a rather wet Rd1 @ QECP it's all go for RD 2 as Pippingford Park which as this point I know very little about apart from it's going to be a pedally course.

Last time out I was chuffed to come 26/60 and not have a major crash (plenty of near misses, trips into bushes etc) so looking to see I can maintain and maybe improve on that result.

Anyone else racing? Whats are your aims?

Also anyone willing to shed some light on what Pippingford is like?

It's a full day of riding. Think with practice and then racing afterwards I clocked up just over 20 miles.

It's pretty flat and pedally, but was actually quite a big day out for a Southern Enduro.

I Imagine if it's wet, it will be a bit of a slog. It was bone dry & dusty last year.

Goal this time is not to get a flat on the first 2 stages & actually get on the podium to continue my run of them!

My goal will be to not go the wrong way on stage 2 (IIRC) where someone before me had gone straight through the tape. Then have to run back up the hill to get back on course.

It's going to a glorious sunshine fest right!

That was the same as QECP this time around. Hopefully it won't be god knows how many times up that fireroad!

I'll be there.

Never done any racing before, so it'll be interesting to see what it's all about. Looking forward to it.

Please, no rain!

Well the forecast is looking promising and it looks like the trail fairies have been hard at work. Quite looking forward to a spot of camping to.

A mate at work is doing this.

Looks like a good series.

Is there Midlands equivalent?

I'm in, hardtail looking like the right choice for the course and conditions if it's supposed to be pedally (is that a word/correct spelling?). Hope the Mexican food is as good as claimed!

Well, that was awesome! My first Enduro event, what a great day out. Finished well down the field after a couple of costly mistakes, but all the more reason to do it again. Hope to be at round 4.

Well done to everyone who took part, and especially to the organisers and marshals.

Your closest will be the Welsh Enduro Series probably

Good day out. It was bloody hot.

Rode like a total belter, somehow came 4th. The only stage I didn't crash on was 1, but that felt slow and steady, somehow managed 2nd on that.

Even managed to run my own foot over on one crash.
