So the first round is rolling around soon at QECP. Having seen the videos on Instagram it looks the fairy's have been busy so should be good.

I'm travelling up from the SW and it's like a swamp around here at the mo. Can any local's shed any light on how QECP is holding up?

I imagine if it stops raining the week before it will dry out, it's been pretty vile this year. Also think the loggers have been on Head Down so the middle fire road has turned into a sticky mess.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed a dry spell is looming, because QE in the wet, is 'interesting'.

I was there on the weekend and will be racing on the 15th.

As Hobnob says, a week of dry weather would make a big difference. The race trails are usually less well used or reconfigured / new, so they are generally in better shape than other trails in the park.

Sure it'll be fun no matter what!

Yeah I saw the video of the carnage on the off camber rooty corner!

Yep, they get pretty cut up quickly there.

They do tend to use the lesser ridden bits which means more mud & less polished chalk, which is nice.

Make no mistake though, if there is even the hint of moisture in the air, the chalk is lethal. Good fun race last year, even with the weather 🙂

Ahh chalk the one rock type that no tyre grips in!

So it's just a little over 4 days till the series opens. Who else is racing and what are hoping to achieve?

This is my first "proper" enduro race so it's all about fun for me and expecting a nice mid table result if everything goes to plan. I will the guy in blue Kask helmet and the Spec Stumpy if you want to say hi.

I'll take what I can get, but being honest anything above middle in Masters I'm happy with 🙂

If you're travelling up alone and fancy some company for at least the practice runs then give me a shout - more the merrier, especially if you're good at spotting new lines, Bwahahaha! 😉

A season without breaking something would be nice.

As always, main hope is having fun. Achievements wise, I will probably podium them all, may sneak a win if the stars align. That will do me.

Would be happy with top half in category but that may be unrealistic; and all stages with no crashes.

@OwenP yeah company for practice would be great. I'm travelling with the Wife via in the In-laws (Cadnam) but she is not racing. I will try my best with line suggestions!

The course is looking good on intragram and with some dryer (yeah right) weather forecast it might just dry out a bit. Wishful thinking eh?
