[#3062006]

Me and two of my pals have managed to get tues, weds, thursday off next week and want to do some lazy DHing (or rolling over the jumps and taking chicken runs, but yay we didn't pedal up and whee look at those eteenagers fly, oh why am I so old and fat)..

Anyhoodle, we have booked cwmdown for thursday, as thats all they have spacewise, but guttingly my fave place flyupdownhill at fod is closed. tues weds and thurs.

I have emailed the ukbikepark guys but I wonder is there anywhere else drivable from Exeter that does uplift in the week?

dont know if they operate midweek, but www.woodlandriders-racing.co.uk down at Tavistock might have something going on. Also there is a quantocks service via facebook, look for triscombe uplifts, again unlikely for midweek but maybe worth a look. I know Kustom bikes dont operate midweek unless you prebook a group special day for avill or coombe sydnham.
Cant think of anyone else in the area.

There's no uplift at Gawton at the mo, though there will be for the SW Champs only

tsy, I'm not sure the usual meet for Triscombe downhill is TA5 1HJ , I assume the exmoor day will be meeting in a similar location.. Where are you coming from?

Yunki, essentially we have proposed to them that our group of four pay for a 5th man as they need a min of 5 to run @£35 each, we have a probable 5th man but there is more space than 5 so come along.

See here>

<

As described by them

it's uplift assisted single track. Loads of trails, the guide will show you the way and meet the Land Rover at the bottom, then it's up to you to do the trail again or do another one. 1700 ft descent from the top of Dunkery to sea level. You could descend over 7000 ft in the day with no up hill pushing!

I'm quite taken with the idea..
