Thank to everyone who gave advice in a previous thread, despite the rail the ground was fine .. One or two puddles but nothing much. I rode from Hassocks to Eastborne, and thoughroughly enjoyed it. Although I have learnt a few things.
1: I'm not getting any younger
2: loose the mudguards !
3 : Although my steel fully ridged Genesis is a great bike, I really need some suspension, blurred vision and white finger are not good at my age, and a won't mention the rear end!
Nice one.. I did stammer to Worthing via the SDW on my skinny tyres CX bike.. Lovely evening for it 🙂

Good luck trying to cycle through the matterley bowl section - not unless you wish to be attacked by a huge fire breathing mechanical spider.
