Fitted an X5 rear mech as part of an overhaul - jockey wheels died after two rides. Then the replacement had a snapped washer in the middle of a week's riding in Spain (great bodge job repair by Doug at Basque MTB) and they're fitting yet another, no labour charge.
Thanks fellas .
Good on them. Maybe SLX might work better for you if you´re having all that trouble with the X5?
I was dead chuffed with that bodge, did you get a picture of it?
The stop that the B-tension screw screws onto disintigrated and we managed to bodge it by putting washers over the b screw which held the mech in more or less the right place. The spring tension of the mech held the washers on and it lasted for 2 days and about 4000m of descending!
