My daughters bike has 9psd deore shifter and mech
Sr contour chainset which I fancy changing to a 10psd fcm 552 triple chainset I have picked up
the cassetee is a 9psd sram
will the chainset take a 9psd chain as it's a 10 speed chainset?

9 speed chain on 10 speed chainset? Absolutely fine.
Mech, shifter, cassette and chain must match. Other bits are cross compatible.
